Introduction
“Key Terms in Multimodality: Definitions, Issues, Discussions” is an interactive site for the exploration and development of multimodal concepts. On this site you will find a collection of texts, each with a suggested definition of a key term that we hope will prompt reflection, discussion, alternative perspectives and suggestions for revision. Written by the members of the Center for Multimodal Communication at the University of Southern Denmark, the texts are not exhaustive or final, but rather, starting points for further work. We encourage you to use the site to further your understanding of terms and to help us further ours, as you share questions, insights, knowledge and ideas with us and other users.
